My Fantastic Park meets Star Trek – The ultimate fairground rides for all Trekkers: Upjers creates new sci-fi attractions.
The developer and publisher of free-to-play Browsergames Upjers has a big surprise for all My Fantastic Park fans: They can get breathtaking “Star Trek” attractions to add to their virtual theme parks. The integration of these premium virtual items, under license by CBS Consumer Products, was facilitated by working together with Iconicfuture, a leading marketplace for virtual goods in the online and mobile gaming sector.
Space. The Final Frontier. It is the year 2013. The games developer Upjers welcomes new crew members on board: exciting “Star Trek” attractions move in at My Fantastic Park. From now on, all virtual theme park managers can upgrade their fairground attractions with Borg cubes, U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D docks and Klingons stunt shows.
All “Star Trek” attractions come with fascinating animations. The Borg cube transforms people into Borgs, a civilization of biological organisms at the Star Trek universe. The Enterprise dock is impressive as well: the hangar opens its huge metal sliding doors, the spaceship soars and takes off with warp speed. The Klingon stunt show provides an extra load of action: here, two Klingon warriors, armored with their standard weapons, the bat’leths, face, and attack each other inside an arena.
“Our Star Trek attractions are the absolute highlight at My Fantastic Park, not just for die-hard Trekkers. Our programmers came up with beautiful, refined animations for the items.” (Klaus Schmitt, CEO)
Ze’ev Rozov, CEO of Iconicfuture, explains:
“We are very pleased having been able to match Upjers’ My Fantastic Park with Star Trek: The Next Generation, and we hope that gamers will enjoy these items in the game. With our marketplace we want to help developers and publishers find the right IP for their game in order to create new ways to engage with users, increase revenue and extend their user base.”
Upjers is extremely happy about the successful cooperation with the series Star Trek. This way it was possible to create the fairground attractions entirely based on the trademark style of the most popular science fiction series worldwide. The new “Star Trek” attractions accompanied by an assortment of different decorations, so all My Fantastic Park players can now build their very own Star Trek universe. Mr. Spock himself might have lost his Vulcan restraint at the sight!
